The story depicts parasites that fall from space and begin to kill to gain their own power by controlling the human brain and body by living off human hosts. The story revolves around Jung Soo In, who is infected with a parasite on her hand and starts a strange cohabitation as it fails to steal her brain.

Seol Kang Woo chases parasitic water to find his missing sister, and Choi Jun Kyung is the team leader of the parasitic life team ‘The Grey’ and lives only to exterminate the parasitic water after losing her husband to the parasitic water.

Parasyte: The Grey (Korean: 기생수: 더 그레이) is an upcoming South Korean horror sci-fi television series directed and co-written by Yeon Sang-ho. The series is a live-action adaptation of the manga series Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, depicting a confrontation with unidentified parasitic creatures that live on humans and commit murder. It stars Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on Netflix on Apr 5, 2024.

The story revolves around a group of mysterious parasitic creatures that fall from outer space and begin hosting humans, killing them, and creating a faction of their own. The series follows Jung Soo In, played by Jeon So-nee, who is infected with a parasite on her hand and starts a strange cohabitation as it failed to steal her brain. Parasyte: The Grey was developed under the working title The Grey (더 그레이; Deo geure-i) and is a collaboration between Netflix and director Yeon Sang-ho. Filming began in September 2022 and ran until February 2023. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on April 5, 2024, and run until June of the same year.

The incredible artwork of the Parasyte manga by author and illustrator Hitoshi Iwaaki has captivated audiences since its publication in 1988, which ran until 1995 in Kodansha’s Morning Open Zōkan and Monthly Afternoon magazine. Over 25 million copies of the manga have been sold worldwide, and it has received a popular anime adaptation and two live-action film adaptations. The Korean adaptation is the first outside of Japan and the first live-action adaptation to be made into a television.
